Why two identical-looking Suzukis take different center console
Interior parts are where Suzuki's sibling models diverge most. The XL6 and the Ertiga share the mechanical package but not the seating; the Eeco is sold in panel and passenger form with different rear layouts; and entry derivatives across the range go without the mounting provision that higher specs assume is there.
In plain terms, the call you have to make is whether the replacement has to be an exact trim match, or whether a near-equivalent lifted from a different spec of the same car will do the job — and the model name on the boot lid is not enough information to make it.
Include the derivative, the trim colour, and confirmation that the car left the factory with the feature you are replacing when you ask us about center console. Two questions up front beats a part that has to be couriered back.
Center Console, explained
A centre console is a trim item until you need one, and then it turns out to be surprisingly hard to find. It carries the gear lever surround, the handbrake gaiter, the cupholders and usually the armrest and storage bin, plus the switch blanks and any USB or twelve-volt sockets on higher-spec cars. Colours and trim finishes changed between derivatives and model years, so a console that bolts straight in may still not match the rest of your interior.

Before you order Suzuki center console
What decides which center console fits my Suzuki?
Interior parts are where Suzuki's sibling models diverge most. The XL6 and the Ertiga share the mechanical package but not the seating; the Eeco is sold in panel and passenger form with different rear layouts; and entry derivatives across the range go without the mounting provision that higher specs assume is there. In practice the decision in front of you is whether the replacement has to be an exact trim match, or whether a near-equivalent lifted from a different spec of the same car will do the job.
What do you need from me to quote center console?
The derivative, the trim colour, and confirmation that the car left the factory with the feature you are replacing. With that we can usually confirm the right part quickly, and we'll tell you whether we're quoting new, aftermarket or good used rather than leaving you to guess.
Why do consoles crack in the first place?
Ultraviolet and heat. A car parked outside in Gauteng sun cooks the cabin, and over the years the plastic loses its plasticiser, goes chalky and turns brittle, so a knock that would once have bounced off now splits it. Tinted film and a windscreen shade genuinely slow the process.
Will a console from a different trim level fit?
Mounting points are often shared across a model, but the cutouts are not. A higher-spec car may have openings for switches or a socket that yours does not, and a manual console will not accept an automatic selector surround. Match the gearbox type first, then the trim.
Can a cracked console be repaired instead?
Plastic welding works well on ABS trim when the crack sits in a flat section and out of direct view. Where the damage is at a mounting tab or a hinge, a repair rarely holds, because those points take load every time the lid is opened or the car goes over a bump.
Do I need the whole console or just a panel?
Often just a panel. Consoles are usually built from several clipped-together pieces, typically an upper trim, a lower carrier and the armrest lid, so one damaged section can be swapped on its own. Photograph what you have from a few angles before ordering.
How do I get the colour to match?
Interior trim codes are not printed on the console face, so the VIN is the reliable route. Send it through the quote form along with a photo of the trim you are matching and we will check what can be laid hands on.

Struggling to identify the right center console?
The derivative, the trim colour, and confirmation that the car left the factory with the feature you are replacing is all we need. We cross-reference it against what we can source and come back with what fits.
