Dashboard for a Suzuki β read this before you order
Interior parts are where Suzuki's sibling models diverge most. The XL6 and the Ertiga share the mechanical package but not the seating; the Eeco is sold in panel and passenger form with different rear layouts; and entry derivatives across the range go without the mounting provision that higher specs assume is there.
In plain terms, the call you have to make is whether the replacement has to be an exact trim match, or whether a near-equivalent lifted from a different spec of the same car will do the job β and the model name on the boot lid is not enough information to make it.
Include the derivative, the trim colour, and confirmation that the car left the factory with the feature you are replacing when you ask us about dashboard. Two questions up front beats a part that has to be couriered back.
Dashboard, explained
South African sun is the enemy here. A car parked outside all day in Pretoria cooks its dashboard top from above, and after enough summers the covering shrinks, lifts at the windscreen edge and eventually splits. It is also the part a buyer notices first and that nobody repairs convincingly.

What customers ask about dashboard
What decides which dashboard fits my Suzuki?
Interior parts are where Suzuki's sibling models diverge most. The XL6 and the Ertiga share the mechanical package but not the seating; the Eeco is sold in panel and passenger form with different rear layouts; and entry derivatives across the range go without the mounting provision that higher specs assume is there. In practice the decision in front of you is whether the replacement has to be an exact trim match, or whether a near-equivalent lifted from a different spec of the same car will do the job.
What do you need from me to quote dashboard?
The derivative, the trim colour, and confirmation that the car left the factory with the feature you are replacing. With that we can usually confirm the right part quickly, and we'll tell you whether we're quoting new, aftermarket or good used rather than leaving you to guess.
Can a split dash top be repaired rather than replaced?
Filler and vinyl repairs look acceptable for a season and then move again, because the material around the repair is still shrinking. A moulded cover mat hides the damage cheaply and is what most owners settle for. A replacement fascia is the only fix that actually restores the car.
Does a used dashboard come with the passenger airbag?
Treat the airbag as a separate item and never assume one is included or reusable. A module from a car that has been in a collision must not be refitted, and airbag work belongs with a qualified fitter who can handle the pyrotechnic unit and reset the system properly.
Will a dashboard from another Suzuki fit my car?
It has to be the same model, the same generation, and the same side of the road. A left-hand-drive fascia will not work in a South African car, and a facelift dash usually carries a different instrument binnacle and vent layout even on the same body. Drop the VIN into the quote form and we will confirm the match.
How big a job is a dashboard swap?
Bigger than most people expect. The steering column, screen pillar trims, centre console, heater ducting and a section of the main wiring loom all have to come loose before the fascia lifts out, and the airbag system has to be disabled first. Set aside the better part of a day at a workshop.
What should I check on a used fascia before buying it?
Ask for photographs taken outside in daylight rather than under workshop lights, because heat fading barely shows indoors. Look closely at the demister slots and the leading edge near the screen, since that is where cracking starts. Then check every mounting tab and clip point on the underside is intact.

Send the VIN β we'll find the dashboard
The derivative, the trim colour, and confirmation that the car left the factory with the feature you are replacing is all we need. We cross-reference it against what we can source and come back with what fits.
