Choosing interior lights for a Suzuki without guessing
Facelifts are where Suzuki lighting parts go wrong. The Brezza changed name mid-life, the Dzire and Swift both switched generations while keeping the badge, and the Grand Vitara name was reused on a completely different vehicle β in each case the lamp changed even where the car still looks familiar. Mounting tabs and connectors are the giveaway, not the shape of the lens.
In plain terms, the call you have to make is whether an original unit is worth the premium over a good aftermarket equivalent, which usually turns on how visible the part is and how it mounts β and the model name on the boot lid is not enough information to make it.
Include the year, the derivative, and a photograph of the existing unit's mounting points and plug if you can take one when you ask us about interior lights. Two questions up front beats a part that has to be couriered back.
Interior Lights, explained
Interior lighting is a small system with more parts than people expect: the roof lamp, sometimes a boot or glovebox light, the pin switches that tell the car a door is open, and the module that fades the lamp out after you close up. Most complaints trace back to a switch or a fuse rather than to the lamp itself.

Interior Lights for Suzuki: common questions
What decides which interior lights fits my Suzuki?
Facelifts are where Suzuki lighting parts go wrong. The Brezza changed name mid-life, the Dzire and Swift both switched generations while keeping the badge, and the Grand Vitara name was reused on a completely different vehicle β in each case the lamp changed even where the car still looks familiar. Mounting tabs and connectors are the giveaway, not the shape of the lens. In practice the decision in front of you is whether an original unit is worth the premium over a good aftermarket equivalent, which usually turns on how visible the part is and how it mounts.
What do you need from me to quote interior lights?
The year, the derivative, and a photograph of the existing unit's mounting points and plug if you can take one. With that we can usually confirm the right part quickly, and we'll tell you whether we're quoting new, aftermarket or good used rather than leaving you to guess.
Could an interior light really flatten the battery?
On a small car with a small battery, comfortably. A lamp burning behind closed doors draws steadily for as long as the car stands, and two or three nights is often all it takes. If your car keeps needing a jump start after standing, look here before you condemn the battery.
How do I find the door switch that is stuck?
Watch the door-ajar warning on the dash and open and close each door in turn until the warning disagrees with reality. On many modern cars the switch is built into the door latch rather than being a separate pin in the pillar, which means the latch assembly is the part you end up ordering.
Can I put LED globes in?
Generally they work well and run cooler, which is easier on an old lens. Two things to watch: wedge and festoon LEDs are polarity sensitive, so one may need turning around to light at all, and a car that fades its interior lamp out can leave an LED glowing faintly instead of going fully dark.
Why does the light flicker over bumps?
The spring contacts that hold the globe lose tension with age and the contact surfaces oxidise, so the connection breaks momentarily every time the body flexes. Cleaning the contacts and gently bending the springs back usually settles it without any parts at all.
Can I buy just the lens?
Sometimes, though on plenty of cars the lens and the housing are only offered together because the clips are moulded into the lens itself. Use the quote form with your model year and we will check which way yours is supplied.

The year, the derivative, and a photograph of the existing unit's mounting points and plug if you can take one is all we need. We cross-reference it against what we can source and come back with what fits.
