Choosing right front fender for a Suzuki without guessing
Suzuki has reused names across unrelated vehicles here more than most marques — the Grand Vitara covers a ladder-frame SUV and a modern crossover, the Brezza was sold under two names, and the Swift spans four generations. Body panels are where that bites hardest, because the badge is identical and the metal is not. We source against the generation code, never the name.
In plain terms, the call you have to make is whether a straight second-hand panel beats a new aftermarket one once prep, paint and fitting are added to both quotes rather than just the part price — and the model name on the boot lid is not enough information to make it.
Include the year, the derivative and the paint code off the VIN plate, plus a photograph of the damage when you ask us about right front fender. Two questions up front beats a part that has to be couriered back.
Right Front Fender, explained
A front fender bolts on rather than being welded, which is why a clean used one often beats a repair on cost and finish alike. On the driver's side, look hard at the arch lip and the bottom seam — that is where gravel-road grit and coastal damp start the rust, and where a kerb strike shows up first.

Suzuki Right Front Fender — questions we get asked
What decides which right front fender fits my Suzuki?
Suzuki has reused names across unrelated vehicles here more than most marques — the Grand Vitara covers a ladder-frame SUV and a modern crossover, the Brezza was sold under two names, and the Swift spans four generations. Body panels are where that bites hardest, because the badge is identical and the metal is not. We source against the generation code, never the name. In practice the decision in front of you is whether a straight second-hand panel beats a new aftermarket one once prep, paint and fitting are added to both quotes rather than just the part price.
What do you need from me to quote right front fender?
The year, the derivative and the paint code off the VIN plate, plus a photograph of the damage. With that we can usually confirm the right part quickly, and we'll tell you whether we're quoting new, aftermarket or good used rather than leaving you to guess.
Repair or replace?
A shallow dent in clean metal is a straightforward repair. Once there is rust through the bottom seam or the mounting flange is bent, replacement is quicker and lasts longer, and since the fender bolts on there is no cutting or welding involved.
Why does rust always start at the bottom of a wing?
Because that is where wet grit collects behind the panel and stays there. The inner liner is meant to keep it out, and once the liner is torn or a clip has pulled through, mud packs into the cavity and holds moisture against bare metal. Cars on gravel routes and cars near the coast go first.
Does a fender knock affect the wheel alignment?
The panel itself is not structural, so a light scrape does not. An impact hard enough to move the fender back into the door, though, has usually gone through to the suspension mounting behind it, and that does. Have the geometry checked after any real hit rather than assuming it was only cosmetic.
Do I need the fender in my exact colour?
It helps, but a used panel is nearly always prepared and blended by the panel beater anyway because paint fades differently on two cars. The colour code is on the VIN plate — the quote form takes your VIN and your colour code and we will look for the closest match.
Is a Jimny fender the same as a Swift one?
Not remotely. The Jimny is a ladder-frame vehicle with solid axles front and rear and completely different body dimensions from the unibody hatchbacks in the range. Panels do not cross between them, and in general do not assume a panel crosses between any two Suzuki models.
