Privacy Notice
Send us a Suzuki parts enquiry and you hand over a few personal details. This page sets out exactly what happens to them.
Current as at 19 August 2026
This notice applies to prosuzukispares.co.za and to any enquiry you send us through the site, by phone, by WhatsApp or by email. It is written to be read, not to be skimmed past — so it is short, and it says what we actually do rather than what we are theoretically permitted to do. Using the site means you are content with what follows.

What we ask for, and why we ask for it
A parts enquiry cannot be answered without a few details, so this is the short list of what we take and the reason each item is on it. Nothing here is optional padding — if we did not need it to quote you, we would not ask.
- Your name — so the person who phones you back knows who they are asking for.
- A phone number, a WhatsApp number, or an email address — whichever one you would rather be reached on.
- Your town or suburb — courier pricing and lead time change from one part of the country to another.
- Your Suzuki: model, year, and the VIN or engine number if you have it to hand — this is what decides whether a part fits.
- What you are after, and what the car is doing — a fault code or a photo of the old part often settles a quote in one go.
- A delivery address, but only once you have accepted a quote and something needs to ship.
Who ends up seeing it
Your enquiry reaches the parts desk that can actually fill it. That means our supplier sees the details needed to price and pick your part, and a courier sees your name, address and phone number once a parcel is booked.
That is the end of the list. We do not sell enquiry data, we do not rent it out, and we do not hand it to advertisers or list brokers. If a request ever fell outside this — a subpoena, a court order, a fraud investigation — the law would decide it, not us.
How long we hang on to it
Quote requests stay on file while we are working on them and for a reasonable stretch afterwards, because customers routinely come back months later asking us to re-quote the same car. Records tied to a completed sale are kept for as long as South African tax and consumer-protection law requires them.
Ask us to delete your details and we will, unless a specific law obliges us to keep a particular record. We will tell you plainly if that is the case.
Your rights under POPIA
The Protection of Personal Information Act gives you real, enforceable rights over what we hold. Exercising any of them costs nothing and will never affect the service you get from us.
- Ask what we hold on you, and get a copy of it.
- Have anything wrong or out of date corrected.
- Have your details deleted where no law requires us to keep them.
- Object to your details being used for marketing, and be taken off any list immediately.
- Withdraw a consent you previously gave, at any point, without giving a reason.
- Complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa if you believe we have mishandled your information.
Keeping it safe
Enquiries submitted through this site travel over an encrypted connection. Access to stored enquiries is limited to the people who need it to do the job, and the systems holding them are patched and monitored.
We will not pretend this is a guarantee. No website anywhere can promise a breach is impossible. What we can promise is that we do not collect more than we need, which keeps the amount of your information at risk as small as it can be.
Children
This is a motor spares site aimed at vehicle owners and workshops. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us something, tell us and we will remove it.
Changes to this notice
If the way we handle enquiries changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top moves. Anything significant will be obvious on the page rather than buried in a clause.
Raising something with us
Want a copy of what we hold, want it corrected, or want it gone? Ask on any of these and we will deal with it — you do not need to write a formal letter.

Still not satisfied, you are entitled to take it to the Information Regulator of South Africa. We would rather you gave us the chance to put it right first.
